Resveratrol and cancer treatment

Abstract: Cancer is an increasing health problem worldwide. It affects millions of people every year. Overall survival rates for most cancers have been prolonged due to the efforts of doctors and scientists. However, some cancer tumors are resistant to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. And the cancer research community continues to search for an effective anti-cancer agent, resveratrol, a natural phytoalexin polyphenol. It has shown promising effects in inhibiting cancer metastasis and progression in various types of malignant tumors. However, its molecular mechanism and application in chemotherapy and radiotherapy are still unclear. In this review We focus on the role and relevant molecular mechanisms of resveratrol in cancer treatment. especially We focus on the role of resveratrol in the cancer tumor microenvironment and in sensitizing cancer cells to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Resveratrol shows promising efficacy in cancer treatment. and can be used in clinical therapy
