The Multiple Mechanisms of Cell Death Triggered by Resveratrol in Lymphoma and Leukemia

Different mechanisms of resveratrol-induced cell death in lymphoma and leukemia.

Abstract: Lymphoma and leukemia pose serious threats to human health and life expectancy. Resveratrol is one of the naturally occurring protective chemical molecules. It is one of the most effective and most studied molecules. In this article, the main mechanisms of cell death caused by or related to resveratrol will be reviewed and discussed. Emphasis is on experimental models for lymphoma and leukemia. Where resveratrol has been tested and validated at the cellular, molecular or physiological level, the most relevant challenges in the body related to resveratrol are also reported and analyzed. To determine the main properties of this polyphenol and its potential in treating hematopoietic cancers.
