Abstract: PM2.5 dust particles are considered one of the risk factors for respiratory diseases. and methods of protection are in great demand. We created artificial PM2.5 particles (aPM2.5) based on the size and composition of real PM2.5 collected in Beijing. By using these artificial particles We created an animal model of inhalation injury. These aPM2.5 particles simulated the physical and chemical characteristics of actual PM2.5, and inhalation of aPM2.5 in mice resulted in changes in the lungs over time. This indicates decreased lung function. Oxidative stress injury and inflammation in the lungs Therefore, this animal model of aPM2.5 injury may mimic lung injury in humans exposed to airborne dust particles. In addition, polydatin (PD), a resveratrol glucoside found in some plants, was found to significantly reduce the oxidative potential of aPM2.5 in vitro. Treatment of model mice with PD prevented lung function decline induced by aPM2.5 and reduced the level of oxidative damage in mice exposed to aPM2.5. Additionally, PD suppressed the inflammatory response induced by aPM2.5, as evidenced by a decrease in bronchoalveolar lymphocyte (BALF), a lipid associated with inflammation. and inflammatory cytokines in the lungs These results provide practical guidelines for protecting yourself from air pollution containing PM2.5 dust particles.
