This review article evaluates the current status and future development strategies of resveratrol. To increase its potential against cancer metastasis, we also critically evaluate models used in preclinical studies of cancer metastasis. and discuss new techniques To accelerate the translation of resveratrol from the operating room to cancer patients. Selecting an appropriate model is important in determining whether resveratrol can be further developed as an anticancer drug in cancer treatment.
