Discussion/Conclusion
Resveratrol has the potential to protect the liver from the development of hepatocellular carcinoma at an early stage. It also causes the death of liver cancer cells that have spread abnormally. Metastasis and angiogenesis, which are hallmarks of late stage cancer, were also significantly attenuated by resveratrol. Additionally, resveratrol in combination with standard drugs and nutraceuticals significantly enhanced treatment efficacy through a chemotherapeutic and synergistic mechanism.
