Discussion/Conclusion

Resveratrol has the potential to protect the liver from the development of early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma. It also causes the death of liver cancer cells that have spread abnormally. Metastasis and angiogenesis, hallmarks of advanced cancer stages, were also significantly attenuated by resveratrol. Furthermore, resveratrol when used in combination with standard drugs and nutraceuticals may significantly enhance treatment efficacy through chemotaxis and synergistic mechanisms.
